Onimusha: Way of the Sword Collectibles
Completion begins with a clean record, not a panic sweep. Onimusha: Way of the Sword spreads its rewards across exploration, side content, upgrades, and lore. Keep the categories distinct, preserve a save before the final mission, and make each return to Kyoto purposeful.

The 273-location checklist
PowerPyx lists 273 collectible locations for 100% game completion. Its category breakdown includes 8 Mysteries of Kyoto, 18 Chance Encounters, 36 Lion Dogs, 7 Oni Armaments, 9 Hozuki Pouches, 15 Charms, 23 Genma Notes, 53 Power Stones, 54 Oni Stones, 25 Fine Silk Cloths, and 25 Tamahagane.
| Category | Count | Why it matters |

When to clean up
The central timing rule is simple: complete your sweep before The Clash At Rendaino. The published roadmap identifies this as the final mission and says that free-roam remains available until the Point of No Return prompt. Keep a manual save there. It protects your route and lets you return without relying on a half-remembered list of what came before.
Most categories can be approached in broad passes, but Genma Notes deserve extra attention because they are not naturally marked on the map. Do not assume a mostly-complete map means the lore collection is finished.

A low-friction completion route
Collect obvious items while advancing the story, then use the final free-roam window to consolidate categories. Start with map-visible activities and side missions, then check the less-visible note and upgrade categories. This approach preserves the story's rhythm while ensuring the endgame sweep has a structure.
Detailed location pages will be added category by category after every individual position, prerequisite, and reward is cross-checked. This P0 page is the verified completion framework: it tells you what exists, how much there is, and when to stop before you lock the route.
